Convert RSS 2.0 and Atom feed XML into clean, structured JSON format.
Extracts feed metadata (title, description, link) and all entries with their content.
All processing happens locally in your browser — your data is never uploaded to any server.
Feed Type:
Input (RSS/Atom Feed)
Output (JSON)
RSS 2.0: Extracts <channel> metadata and <item> entries. Supports <enclosure>, <category>, and optional Dublin Core elements.
Atom: Extracts <feed> metadata and <entry> elements. Supports <link> with rel attributes, <author>, and <content>.
Tip: Use Auto-Detect to automatically identify the feed type. Paste the raw XML from any RSS/Atom feed URL.
What are RSS and Atom?
RSS 2.0 and Atom are XML formats for publishing update feeds: a blog, a podcast or a news site exposes one file that lists the feed’s title and link plus its recent entries, each with a title, a date and content. Reader apps poll that file to discover new items. Converting a feed to JSON means walking the XML tree and mapping each element to keys a program can consume without an XML parser — feed metadata becomes one object, the entries become an array.
The two formats describe the same idea with different element names (RSS <item> vs Atom <entry>, RSS <description> vs Atom <content>) — which is why the converter treats them separately and auto-detection exists.
