MPEG-4 was opened by MPEG (MovingPictureExportsGroup)
in 1999 as the first edition and was formally declared to be
the international standard in the early 2000. It differs
greatly from both MPEG-1 and MPEG-2. MPEG-4 content-based
multimedia data access tools and editing functions for the
operation and bit-stream of contents so that users could
alternatively get the relative items on interactive home
shopping. With the perfect technology of first-generation
video encoding as the core technology and other key
technologies like video object segmentation, Video Object
encoding, scalability, motion estimation and compensation,
it becomes widely and safely applied in internet. ASF is Advanced
Streaming Format. It is an extensible file format developed
primarily for storing synchronized digital video, audio,
subtitle streams, or transmitting data on the internet. ASF
is also a multimedia container of Windows Media Video or
Windows Media Audio.
To convert mpeg4 to asf file: The
containers such as mp4, mov, avi, rm, mkv, ogm divx supports
mpeg-4 stream. please install the appropriate video filter
and audio filter for the mpeg4 format such as
FFDshow, divx, xvid, HDX4 codec, or MainConcept decoder.
