MPG are the frequently used as the file
extension name for MPEG format. MPG also called MPEG means
Moving Pictures Experts Group developed jointly by
International Standards Organization and International
Electronic Committee in 1988. There’re mainly 5 standards
for MPEG, MPEG-1、MPEG-2、MPEG-4、MPEG-7 and MPEG-21. The video
compression coding technology adopted by MPEG greatly
increase the compression performance by integrately reducing
redundancy in time, image space and statistics. ASF is Advanced
Streaming Format. It is an extensible file format developed
primarily for storing synchronized digital video, audio,
subtitle streams, or transmitting data on the internet. ASF
is also a multimedia container of Windows Media Video or
Windows Media Audio.
To convert mpg to asf, if the MPG file
is encoded with MPEG-1 format, you do not need to install
any additional MPG decoder to convert mpg1 to asf. If the
file is encoded with MPG1.1 or 2.0, please install the
appropriate dvd player such as PowerDVD Player or WinDVD
Player for the mpg decoder. VISTA has bundled MPG1.1/2.0
decoder.

Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2) found in January
1999 by 4 standardized organizations respectively being
Telecommunications Industry Association (North America),
Telecommunication Technology Committee (Japan), Association
of Radio Industries and Business (Japan) and
Telecommunications Technology Association (South Korea),
3GPP2 aims differently from 3GPP by making the 3rd
Generation technical specification with the CDMA2000 as the
wireless interface on the base of ANSI-41core network. The
