Word Merge

Combine two or more Word (.docx) documents into one file — Drop in several DOCX files, drag them into the order you want, optionally separate them with page breaks, and download a single merged document. The section/page setup of the first file is kept; every later file starts on a new page when the page-break option is on. Everything runs locally — no upload, no server, no cloud.

After a merge: styles, page numbers and the table of contents

The merged file uses the first file's styles and page setup; when two files define the same style name differently, the first file's definition wins. Page numbers and the table of contents are Word fields: the merge changes the document around them, but the TOC still shows the page numbers it cached when it was last updated — open the result in Word and update the fields (select all, then F9) to refresh it.

Merge keeps file #1's look → open in Word → update fields to fix the TOC. To compare versions instead of joining them use Word Compare; for slides see PPT Merge.
