Input (JSON)
Tree:Edit a value, or hover a row for + add / ✎ rename / × delete.
The tree appears here after you load a JSON document. Click "Sample" for a quick example.
Export reads the current tree (after edits).
Paste JSON on top and click "Load into Tree" to start editing.
Editing tips: click into a value to change it (strings are plain text; numbers must parse; booleans accept true/false).
Use the type selector to switch a node to object or array (then add children), or to null.
+ adds a child to an object/array, ✎ renames a key (objects), × deletes a node.
Every structural change re-renders the tree; value edits apply when you press Enter or click away.
What is JSON?
JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) is a text format with exactly six value types: object, array, string, number, boolean and null. It won over XML for data interchange because it maps directly onto the structures of every mainstream language — parse once, and you have native objects and arrays. One trap: JSON numbers are decimal text, so very large integers lose precision once parsed as floating point.
The tree colours nodes by type; export as formatted or minified text.
