RAW refers to a type of file format that
contains minimally processed data from
the image sensor of a digital camera or
scanner. Unlike standard image formats
such as JPEG or PNG, which undergo
compression and processing by the
camera's software, RAW files preserve
all the data captured by the camera's
sensor, including color information,
brightness, and other details.
GRAY refers to an image file format
specifically designed for storing
grayscale images. Grayscale images are
images that contain shades of gray,
ranging from black to white, with no
color information.
