Word Template

Fill the placeholders of a Word (.docx) template — Upload a template that contains fields written as {{fieldName}}. The page scans the document, builds a form with one input per field, and after you type the values it renders a brand-new DOCX for download. Everything runs locally — no upload, no server, no cloud.

{{placeholders}} vs .dotx templates

Two different things are called a "Word template". A .dotx file is Word's own template format: double-clicking it starts a new copy of the document, with content controls and styles as placeholders. This page uses the lighter convention: an ordinary .docx with {{fieldName}} markers — the same idea as a mail-merge skeleton — filled in to produce a brand-new document.

Your template file is never modified; each fill produces a fresh .docx. Write each placeholder once in the template — every occurrence of the same {{field}} gets the same value. To join several finished documents use Word Merge.
