XLSX is a file
format used for storing spreadsheets,
associated with Microsoft Excel, a
popular spreadsheet program included in
the Microsoft Office suite. xlsx is XML-based
open standard, the default
format used for Excel worksheets since
Excel 2007. XLS is
for the older version. xls supports macros.
But xlsx files do not support macros .
Excel workbooks can contain macros
written in VBA (Visual Basic for
Applications).
XLTX is
Microsoft Excel
Document Templates,
part of the Office Open XML (OOXML) ,
which can include formatting, formulas,
and predefined content that users can
customize for their specific needs.
XLT is is associated
with earlier versions of EXCEL.
