The PPT format is a
file format used for storing
presentations and is closely associated
with Microsoft PowerPoint. PPT is
default format in PowerPoint 1997-2003.
PPTX is introduced from PowerPoint 2007,
Microsoft transitioned to the Office
Open XML format, and PPTX became the
default file extension for PowerPoint
presentations.
While *.ppt
files are still supported in Microsoft
PowerPoint and various other
presentation software, it is generally
recommended to use the more modern .pptx
format for creating new presentations. .pptx
offers a more structured, open, and
extensible format that provides greater
flexibility and access to a wider range
of features.
The web app can convert Microsoft Office
PowerPoint 1.0/4.0/95/97/2007's ppt/pptx/pot/potx/pps/ppsx/odp
and Word documents doc/docx/txt/rtf
format to jpg or
png online.
