The A1Z26 cipher maps each letter to its alphabetic position: Forward (A=1..Z=26) or Reverse (Z=1..A=26).
Choose from four schemes below. Enter numbers (1-26) or letters and the tool auto-detects your input direction.

Scheme 1: A1Z26 Forward (Uppercase) — A=1, B=2, ..., Z=26 Standard alphabetic position cipher. Used in puzzles, geocaching, and escape rooms.
Scheme 2: A1Z26 Forward (Lowercase) — a=1, b=2, ..., z=26 Same as Scheme 1 but outputs lowercase letters.
Scheme 3: Reverse A1Z26 (Uppercase) — Z=1, Y=2, ..., A=26 Reversed alphabet position. Z maps to 1, A maps to 26. Used in variant cipher puzzles.
Scheme 4: Reverse A1Z26 (Lowercase) — z=1, y=2, ..., a=26 Same as Scheme 3 but outputs lowercase letters.
